Change is good.
We completed two small projects in our family room this week that made such a big impact.
Project 1: Spray paint the brass fireplace doors black. I have wanted to do this forever. I bought the spray paint months ago. I finally got around to it and i love it!
i love the black. Besides being outdated, the brass just sort of blended in. Now, i'm not in love with brick...never have been. So, Mark and I are cooking up another project, which will be a little more work, but we're super excited about it. Stay tuned for that!
That is my grandmother's ocean painting and Katie's conch shell painting up on the mantle. LOVE!
Project #2: Remove the outdated fans and replace with updated drum shades.
We only ever used them for the lights, never the fans. So, when i found these natural basket drum shades at World Market, i was SOLD! They were only $39 each and i had a coupon on top of that!
Two easy, small changes that make me so happy everytime i walk in the room!
