Dear grumpy morning family,
I sincerely love helping you all get out the door each and every morning. I do. I have the best job in the whole entire world. I am so blessed to work from home so that i can see each one of you out the door every day. I like getting up before any of you so i can give you each a personal wake up call at 4 different times. I enjoy making your 4 breakfasts (each with your own quirky likes and dislikes) and making your 4 homemade lunches most days, too. I enjoy helping you find that one elusive shoe you can never seem to find just as the bus is pulling up in front of the house. I enjoy making sure you don't forget that project, homework, inhaler, student ID card, money, permission slip, or report. I even love the fact that if you do forget it, i am usually home to get your call and run it up to you at school. My very favorite part of the morning is giving you that kiss right before you run bolt walk out the door and telling you to have a great day.
I know these days are fleeting. Not just until the end of this school year, but all of your school years.
I just thought you would like to know how much i love taking care of you, even when you leave your breakfast dishes for me to clean up, even when you don't make your beds, even when you sass me because i put the wrong cheese on your breakfast sandwich, even when you fault me for not being able to find your student ID card in your messy room and even when you get mad at me for not cleaning the one pair of your shorts that weren't in the 6 loads of laundry i did yesterday, even when you are all grumpy at the same time, like you were today.
Even then, it is my priviledge to love you and take care of you.
Yes, even then.
Love, Mom
You are such a good mom! And now I will try to cherish the crazy morning chaos before it is no longer. Of course I'll be so old by then, I think I'll be okay with it :)

now that was hilarious! hahahhehehhahaha! why, i know those children! oh wait, no, those are MY children too.....or were my children. they do grow up and become wonderful adults with lovely and wonderful granchildren who can't find their favorite legos or transformers or pet shop babies and you have to retrieve it from the dog's house, or can't eat scrambled eggs, only waffles, etc., etc., etc.......isn't it all wonderful! what is not to love about the quirky, fun personalities! we love them so!
