I try to always have my camera with me. Try. We went to Cedar Point last week with the kids and i purposely didn't take it with me because i didn't want to have to worry about it on rides. It was killing me not having it. So many awesome shots to be had. But, no. Here are some awesome shots that i'm glad i did get this summer...
peacock feathers being sold at the farmer's market...
this awesome moth landed on my parent's deck one summer day and stayed in the same spot ALL day...even through a storm...
i took the kids to Fazoli's drive thru for these blue raspberry icees. LOVE this color! The very next day i got an email from Fazoli's saying they lowered their price for these same icees. Grrrr!
ribbons on my shelf in the studio...
I think the corn fields in Indiana are so pretty and asked mark to pull over on the side of the road so i could take this photo of the corn against this beautiful fence and the dark stormy sky. He's so good about that!
I really don't like bugs even though there are 2 of them in this post. But, this katydid was just hanging out on my studio window one night begging for me to take his picture....
you never know what you will find in my studio. These twinkies were teasing G all day one day recently...
they were actually my still life subject for this custom painting commissioned by a friend of mine. A baby gift for a new set of twins...
R spotted this nest for me when we were up at the lake last week. It was tucked under a boat lift awning. Those babies were obviously hungry...and their mama was just sitting on the job {do you see her on top?}. Go, mama, go!
Clever ice cream flavors at Handel's...one of our favorite summertime treats...
My kiddos go back to school in one week. so not cool. We're going to try to squeeze everything we can out of these last few days! Maybe swing by for more of these one last time...Happy August, friends!
