Ahhh, summer is officially here {although you wouldn't know it by my blog banner...working on that}.  We couldn't be happier about that!  At our house that means no official schedule, staying up late, sleeping in later, watching movies, swimming every day, playing night games with the neighborhood kids, not paying attention to what day it is, bbq's and sleepovers, etc...

I wanted to share with you the freebie that i gave away at my Open Studio.  It's all about happiness.  My little sister and i used to do this for our grandparents when we were little.  At the end of a long visit with them, we would write {what seemed like 100's} of little love notes and sprinkle them all over their house.  They would find them for weeks/months after-wards and it would make them so happy.  So, here's an opportunity to bring a little happiness to a perfect stranger. 

 
Cut them out and leave them in public places where someone is likely to find one {in a library book, a fitting room, a church pew, a park bench, a grocery cart, etc...}.  That's it...that's all there is to it.  And, just maybe you will have made someone smile somewhere along in their travels.  My kids and i are doing this all summer.  Get your kids in on the act, too.  In this cynical, serious world, it's a simple way to spread a little sunshine.  Print as many as you would like here and share them with others.  I will try to make some more later in the summer with new messages, so stay tuned.  They will always be available in the free stuff just for you section on the left sidebar and they are called "happy notes".

So, now, go forth and spread some sunshine!!!!!

My 2nd graders have stockings hanging in our classroom. Each day they write a compliment or happy note to another student and put it in their stocking. These notes will help them with ideas and will also save me time on my notes to them! Thank you!
