Over the weekend, we went on a family picnic. When we were all done eating, R casually leans back from the blanket on to the grass and says "I just found a four leaf clover". He wasn't even trying.
We were on grass that was covered in patches of clover like this...
He plucked it out of the grass, looks in the opposite direction and announces "I found another one!". He really did.
At this point, K and R decided that they had to get in on the action, too.
Mark and I were cracking up...they were all so serious and determined! And then, amazingly, R found another one! We were all shocked.
More hunting and searching. Cute.
And, again... "I found ANOTHER one!" R yells. That was his 4th find. K and G gave up. The crazy thing is, R has found 4 leaf clovers several times before this, and always, pretty effortlessly. I have never, in my life, found a four leaf clover. He was so excited and still hasn't stop talking about it. {he's convinced that the fact that he was wearing his shamrock covered boxer shorts had something to do with it...LOL!}
We were amazed enough at R's luck that we bought a lottery ticket that day. We didn't win. But, it was worth a shot!
More highlights from our spring break staycation coming up this week! xo
