Today is National Middle Name Pride Day. Seriously. Do you sense a trend here on freshpickedwhimsy? I found out last week was Pancake Day and I had missed it. I was so bummed because i would have liked to have illustrated that! Oh well...anyway, now I'm intrigued with these crazy "holidays". I don't know who dreams them up, but i think they're funny.
So...back to the holiday du jour...today is the day to celebrate your second moniker. Your folks carefully selected that name; maybe naming you after a favorite relative or possibly picking a name that "flowed" nicely with your first and last names. So CeLeBrAtE it!!!! Go wild...put on a name tag and wear it with pride, sign all of your correspondence today with your full name, call your parents and ask them why? why? why? I just called my mom a few minutes ago and asked her. She said, "first of all we really liked the name and secondly, if we had a boy, we would have named you 'Christopher'...Christine was the feminine version, and we liked it." Good enough.
p.s. if you feel like leaving me a comment with your middle name and how your parents picked it...i'd love to hear it! I promise not to chuckle...not that you'd hear me if i did! :-)
