Today is the day that everyone has been looking forward to...my son's birthday! Oh yeah, and the first day of Spring, too. :-) I think it's pretty cool that R was born on the day that everyone celebrates...saying good-bye to old man Winter and hello to Spring! He is officially a teenager today...I have 2 teenagers now!!!! Wow! How is that possible? This past year has been a huge physical transformation year for him...sprouting the beginnings of a mustache, voice deepening, and growing 6 inches in one year! Even though he towers over me now, he will always be my baby.
The blog will be quiet this weekend. I am heading off for a weekend women's reatreat at my church. I've been really looking forward to it. It's something I've been wanting to do for a long time. This world seems uncertain and daunting right now. It's easy to get pulled down by the news these days. My faith is my security blanket and this weekend is all about renewing and deepening that faith. Some of my girlfriends will be there with me and that just makes it more special.
Happy Spring, friends! Have a wonderful weekend, too!
Happy Spring, to you, my sweet friend Lori!

Hello! Found your site thru Catching Fireflies Blog and had to pop over and take a peek. Great blog you have :) I read your March 20th entry...(we have something in common)...my daughter Katie's birthday was the same day as your son's. Hope your son had a wonderful birthday. It turned out to be a beautiful day. I always loved that I had Katie on the first day of spring. God pop's in even extra seasonal date blessings when we really don't even expect them. Have a great night

Hi! Yep, the cupcake is mine. Some days, when I have time, I scan my doodles and turn them into vector art in case I want to use them for anything. I always like how rough they look! Sorry about not getting together today. I feel a bit better, but still had to take some meds for the neck. Weird! Let's try for next week! Miss ya!
