I thought I would share some photos of some past projects. I LOVE to breathe new life into a cast off piece of furniture. I am so bad at taking "before" pictures {I've got to work on that!}. I painted this chair for a client. This chair was over 100 years old. It had been stuck in a barn and then a garage for decades until she asked me to "do something fun with it". She gave me full creative license. I used the colors from the room that the room was destined for. It had layers and layers of old paint and "gunk" on it.
This child's table and chairs set was brand new "naked" furniture. A couple commissioned me to do this for their granddaughter. The woman cried when I delivered it.
Another old chair... {chairs are my favorite!}
This next chair and the lily of the valley chair were commissioned by the same client who i did the fern chair for. Again, she just told me to paint whatever I liked. Ya gotta love a client like that!
Here's another piece that I loved doing. It was previously a very bad faux "sponge" finish in horrible 80's colors. Honestly, when the client brought it to me, I had a hard time envisioning how i was going to make it pretty. I wasn't that crazy about the piece itself. But, I really do love how it turned out.
Finally, {at least for now} this is a $5 garage sale find. It was a dark teal (yuck) and was missing 3 of the knobs (they were ugly anyhow). The lady was having sellers remorse as I loaded it into my van, but agreed to part with it. I knew exactly how I wanted to paint it when I first saw it. It is now in my daughter's bedroom.
