It's another rainy Monday here. We spent the weekend transforming our Living Room into my new studio. It's definitely a work in progress. Our Living Room is probably the biggest room in the house, and by far, the least used. We host Thanksgiving for our family every year in that room and host Christmas day for the family there, too. My current studio is very small and is perfect for storing all of my supplies, but not condusive to creating in it. So, for the past few years, my kitchen table served as my work space. This meant that every day by 2:00, i needed to clear all my projects out of the kitchen for the kids to do their homework, dinner and breakfast the next day. I made it work, but now with the book project and my etsy shop projects, it was time for a step up. We moved a lot of furniture out, a lot of supplies in and we will be pulling up the carpet, painting the floor, adding lighting and building a long work table. We're all very excited about it. I'll post pictures as we get things accomplished. Maybe by tomorrow, i'll have a good photo. Right now it's just piles of stuff that needs to be organized.
In the meantime, here's a few photos of my daughter's latest ceramics class project. It's fun and whimsical and fabulous! From the photo, you may not be able to tell the size. It's perfect for chips and dip.
Her ceramics class has wrapped up for the semester, but i do hope she will continue to pursue it. I really think she has a knack for it!
