These are some of the 30+ clues that Mark and I hid all over the house for the Annual Pot of Gold Treasure Hunt at our house yesterday. Some were inside, some were outside and most were hidden in silly places like in the mailbox, on the doorbell, in the refrigerator crisper drawer, and taped to the back of the Guitar Hero guitar. We planned it so that the kids had to go up and downstairs A LOT. Each clue led to another one. They were exhausted when it was all over. Then the last clue led them to the bathtub where they found their "pots of gold".
Each box contained 5 crisp $1 bills and some chocolate kisses. They had a blast, but really, so did Mark and I. We started this St. Patty's tradition a few years ago for our wee ones and we all look forward to it every year. These are the simple things memories are made of...
How cute is that? I love little traditions that the kids will remember and pass on to their families. We do one at Easter that I will have to share at my blog. Funny how everything is either a blog post or not now? LOL
I wanted to say that I am a French girl married to an Italian so I can relate to your families cultural differences. I was in shock the first time I went with Paul to a family event of his. Those Sicilians are so LOUD compared to my quiet French family. Sheesh!
Thanks for the love on my pretties. I actually listed that ring last night and it already sold! So I guess I better get the other ones up over there. Yippea!
Have a wonderfully creative day Lori. Fun to get to know you.
