i know you guys...i totally dissed September. And, i love September. September is my homeboy. Haha!
No, seriously...i feel like i'm always apologizing for being absent around here. But, when things are crazy busy in my life, something has to give. And, unfortunately, it's usually the blog. Poor, sweet blog.
So, to give September it's due respect, here is how we spent it...
Riley is healing. He's been a trooper...watching his junior year of football from the sidelines.
He finally got out of that boot just this week. He's now in a brace and physical therapy is the name of the game.
My sister Kim came home from Georgia with her family for a visit. We had a very fun date night out with Kim and her hubs Tim, and our other sister Susan and her hubs Andy. We ate at Woody's Library in Carmel (housed in what was Carmel's original old library building). We dined in a private room and had a LOUD, crazy fun time.
We celebrated my nephew Sam's bday and i made him a Minecraft cake.
He loved it and i love him.
My whole fam drove to visit Katie at college. Everyone got to see her cute dorm room and we treated her and her roomie to dinner.
Our time together went way too fast. :( My kids miss their cousins so much...
My birthday was on the 12th and my mom made my fave Eggplant Parm. It's the BOMB. You can find her recipe here
Kate came home for the first time and we spent the weekend snuggling, watching movies and celebrating the beginning of the pumpkin spice season...
In light of his big brother's injury, Griffin stepped up as the new lawnboy. In training here...
Homecoming was fun as usual despite the game being rained out and postponed to the next day.
We did manage to get the parade in before the rain started that night.
Riley went with his friends and managed to dance and have a blast even with that bulky boot.
So, September is a wrap and we are already in week 2 of October. Thanks for indulging me with my September review. I love you, September...i really do.
