My mom fell down the stairs and broke her ankle on Friday. Normally, she is a woman in constant motion. For the next 8-10 weeks...not so much. Last night, i made dinner for her and my dad. We stayed and ate with them. We watched the Olympics and I washed her hair in the kitchen sink. As I was doing it, K got my camera out and was taking pictures. The first words out of my mother's mouth were "Lori, don't blog me!" I thought that was so funny. So, even though the pictures are really funny and K got a good one of me sculpting my mom's shampoo sudsy hair into a heat-miser 'do just for laughs; i won't post them here. You're welcome, mom. Actually, being able to help her after all the things she does and has done for me, was really nice. I know she is frustrated, but i think maybe this was God's way of telling her to slow down!
*credit for today's clever blog title goes to my father-in-law. Very funny, Duz. :-)
Here, at our house, week two of school didn't kick off quite as easily as week one. K almost missed the bus this morning, G was battling me over what to wear, the dog got loose, and everyone was cranky, in general. My chalkboard greeting was lost on all of them.
Here's hoping your Monday runs more smoothly than mine!
